To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will indicate the date on which the safety certificate for the indoor firearms range at the national sports centre, Cardiff was first granted; and for which classes and calibres of firearms and muzzle energies it presently holds such a safety certificate.

The information provided by the Sports Council for Wales is as followsOriginal certificate issued 18 July 1972 for the following:

  • .22 calibre rifle
  • 210 feet per pound muzzle energy
  • .22 calibre pistol
  • 100 feet per pound muzzle energy
On 14 May 1984 upgraded to:
  • .380 calibre pistol
