HC Deb 02 February 1990 vol 166 c420W
Mr. Pendry

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what was the cost per ambulance worker of his Department's advertising campaign informing them of their pay offer.

Mr. Freeman

[holding answer 8 January 1990]: The cost of the Department's advertising campaign in the national daily press on 27 and 28 November 1989 was £241,441.

It is not sensible to estimate the cost per ambulance man or woman, particularly as the advertisements would have been seen by many other people.
