§ Mr. PendryTo ask the Secretary of State for Health what was the cost per ambulance worker of his Department's advertising campaign informing them of their pay offer.
§ Mr. Freeman[holding answer 8 January 1990]: The cost of the Department's advertising campaign in the national daily press on 27 and 28 November 1989 was £241,441.
It is not sensible to estimate the cost per ambulance man or woman, particularly as the advertisements would have been seen by many other people.
