To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many meetings the Department's advisory committee on women's employment held in 1989; and what subjects were discussed.

§ Mr. Nicholls
The advisory committee on women's employment which I chair held three meetings in 1989. The topics discussed include child care, labour retention and attraction, importance of women and family friendly policies, the employment of women in rural areas and women and public appointments.
