§ Mr. LilleyIn 1978–79 non-North sea taxes and national insurance contributions amounted to 34.1 per cent. of non-North sea GDP. The Budget forecast for the comparable figure in 1990–91 is 37 per cent. of non-North sea GDP, adjusted to remove the distortion due to the abolition of domestic rates.
