§ Mr. NichollsThe independent Advisory Committee on Pesticides is currently finalising its review of tributyltin oxide (TBTO) and a statement will be issued shortly relating to the approval of pesticides containing TBTO. Currently TBTO is approved as the active ingredient in a variety of pesticide products including wood preservatives and anti-fouling products. The ACP has recently commenced work on other tributyltin compounds used in surface biocides and wood preservatives.
