§ Mrs. ClwydTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what information he has on the status of Zambia's relations with the International Monetary Fund since 1985, listing periods when Zambia was in default on payments to the fund and periods when Zambia had no economic programme agreed with the fund.
§ Mr. RyderDuring 1985 and up to June 1986 there was no economic programme agreed with the International Monetary Fund, apart from one arrangement agreed in February 1986 which lasted two months. Zambia has been in arrears to the fund since June 1986. In March 1990 a fund-monitored programme was approved.
