§ Mr. Teddy TaylorTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) if there have been any significant changes in the calculation and assessment of contributions to and receipts from the European Economic Community since the United Kingdom's net contribution for 1989 was last assessed at £1,966 million; and if he will make a statement;
(2) when he anticipates that he will publish the 1990 statement on the Community budget; and if this document will include the latest calculation of the United Kingdom's net contribution to the European Economic Community in the calendar year 1989.
§ Mr. RyderThe statement on the 1990 Community budget will be published within the next few weeks. It will include an outturn figure for the United Kingdom's net contribution to the Community budget in 1989; and will explain the differences between that figure and the forecast published in last year's statement (Cm. 680).
