What will be the liability in law of the operators of the Channel Tunnel towards third parties (in 416WA the event of fire, etc., etc.) and whether they will be required at all times to hold insurance fully to cover that liability.
§ Viscount DavidsonUnder the Channel Fixed Link Treaty and the Concession Agreement, the operators of the Channel Tunnel will be liable for damage caused to users and third parties in accordance with the law applicable to the part of the Fixed Link where the damage takes place, and they are required to take out and maintain adequate insurance against such liability.
