HL Deb 15 November 1989 vol 512 c1399WA
Lord Kennet

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Following the Answer given by Lord Hesketh (HL Deb., 8th November, col. 701), whether they are attempting to collect insurance payments in respect of the Coalbrookdale and Porchester Gates in Kensington Gardens; whether this is delaying the repair work; and, if insurance payments are not made, whether the work will be carried out.

Lord Hesketh

Insurance claims are being pursued but this is not delaying the repairs. Work on the Porchester Gate is in hand now. Work on the Coalbrookdale Gate will start on site in 1990–91, as soon as the planning and tendering processes have been completed.
