§ Mr. Alan HowarthThe items of expenditure covered by the term "capitation allowance" can vary from LEA to LEA. Accordingly, the Department does not collect data on the size of the allowances made by each LEA to the schools it maintains. Nor is there any element corresponding to a capitation allowance separately identified within the grant which the Department makes to grant-maintained schools.
