Why it is taking so long to repair the Coalbrookdale and Porchester Gates in Kensington Gardens, which were knocked down by motor vehicles 18 months and eight months ago respectively.
§ Lord HeskethThe Coalbrookdale Gates need major refurbishment as well as repairs to make good the accident damage. Both jobs will be done together and the work will be carried out in the 1990–91 programme. Work to repair the Porchester Gates was put in hand shortly after the accident in April and is expected to be completed next month.
