To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the principal areas of dredging for aggregates.

I have been asked to reply. The principal areas licensed by the Crown Estate Office for the purpose of dredging aggregates are as follows:

  • The Bristol Channel
  • Off Great Yarmouth
  • The mouth of the Humber
  • The mouth of the Thames
  • Around the Isle of Wight.
