Member for Copeland, he will list for each authority the nature of the complaints of alleged anti-competitive practices and the individual or organisation responsible for making the complaint.
§ Mr. Ridley[holding answer 11 May 1989]: No. I do not propose to give such information about individual authorities while allegations are being investigated. Nor do I consider it relevant or necessary to name those making complaints. I do, however, intend to inform the House when I have used my powers of sanction under paragraph I of the Local Government Act 1988.
