§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonA large number of Scottish Office staff have responsibilities which involve aspects of these subjects. In the divisions and units directly concerned with pollution matters, 58 staff are engaged full-time on these duties and 64 part-time. The majority of the full-time staff are engaged on environmental studies in the marine laboratory, Aberdeen; most of the remainder are located in the parts of the Scottish Development Department which deal with environmental pollution.
