HC Deb 09 May 1989 vol 152 c419W
93. Mr. Sumberg

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what is the estimated annual cost of securing Britain's nuclear defence establishments from infiltration by protest organisations.

Mr. Sainsbury

Security measures at Britain's defence nuclear establishments are designed to provide protection against a range of potential threats, principally espionage, sabotage, terrorism and subversion. However, it is not possible to identify that part of the total cost of protection which is attributable to the activity of protesters.
