To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list the duties of Her Majesty's inspector of anatomy.

Mr. Mellor

Under the Anatomy Act 1984, Her Majesty's inspector of anatomy inspects and authorizes licences for premises where anatomical examination is to be carried out. He licences teachers of anatomy, undertakes regular visits and site inspections to ensure that the conditions are being carried out.
