To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, by how much gross domestic product per head has increased in the north-west of England since 1979.

Gross domestic product per head (at factor cost and current prices) in the north-west standard region has increased from £2,838 in 1979 to, provisionally, £5,622 in 1987.
