HL Deb 14 March 1989 vol 505 c225WA
Lord Swansea

asked Her Majesty's Government:

When they propose to reconvene the joint Home Office/Association of Chief Police Officers/British Shooting Sports Council Working Party on Fees for Firearm and Shotgun Certificates.

The Minister of State, Home Office (Earl Ferrers)

In view of the significant changes in firearm and shotgun controls introduced under the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988, which have wider implications for fees than those covered within the remit of the working party, my right honourable friend the Home Secretary has decided that it would not be profitable to reconvene this body.
