To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what representations he has received on the Macdonald report on communications infrastructure.

My Department has received a number of representations on the communications steering group report "The Infrastructure for Tomorrow", sometimes referred to as the Macdonald report. The report sets out the conclusions of the group which was established to advise Ministers on ways in which the United Kingdom electronic communications infrastructure may be expected to develop over the next two decades. The report represents the views of the group and not necessarily those of the Government.
