HC Deb 12 June 1989 vol 154 c317W
Mr. Wallace

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what information he has on the levels of chlorine in water supplies in England and Wales.

Mr. Howard

This information is not held centrally. It is for individual water undertakers with their knowledge of local conditions to determine the level of chlorine necessary to disinfect the water supply and to maintain bacterial quality of the water during distribution.
