To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list the infertility services provided by each district health authority.

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what is the prevalence of infertility in England.

Accurate statistics are not available, but it is estimated that about one in 10 couples is infertile.

To ask the Secretary of State for Health whether plans for the provision of infertility services are required to be included in the strategic plans of district health authorities.

§ Mr. Mellor
There is no such requirement. The provision of infertility services is a matter for individual health authorities to decide in the light of local needs and priorities.
