To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what plans he has for further promoting Yorkshire and Humberside heritage and culture.

We shall continue to promote the conservation, preservation and presentation of the heritage in all regions through funding and support to English Heritage, the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England, the National Heritage Memorial Fund and a wide range of national and regional voluntary heritage organisations.
