§ Dr. David Clark
To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security for each of the last five parliamentary Sessions, including the 1988–89 Session, if he will list the number of statutory instruments that were issued by his Department; how many were negative and how many affirmative; and if he will make a statement.

The information is in the table. For earlier Sessions, the figures are for only those statutory instruments issued by the Department of Health and Social Security which relate to social security matters.
