To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he will give the numbers of(a) appeals to a medical board for mobility allowance and (b) allowances then awarded over the latest 12-month period for each area in England;

(2) what was the number of claims for mobility allowance made over the latest 12-month period for each area in England;

(3) what was the number of claims for mobility allowances over the latest 12-month period which have been successful at the first stage, after examination of doctor's reports, for each area in England.
