To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the amount of rate support paid by Warwickshire to assist other areas in each year since 1979; and if he will express this in a constituency form.

[holding answer 6 July 1989]: The table gives estimates of the amount by which grant for authorities in Warwickshire was affected by resource equalisation in each year from 1981–82 to 1989–90. The introduction of the community charge will end these grant transfers.
