To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will makes statement on the public spending planning total.

§ Mr. Norman Lamont
The public expenditure planning total is the aggregate used by the Government for planning and control purposes. The outturn for 1989–90 is expected to be in line with the plan of £167.1 billion.
