HL Deb 27 July 1989 vol 510 cc1668-9WA
Lord Kilmarnock

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they are aware that the service provided by Positively Women for women who are HIV-positive or have ARC or AIDS, is threatened by lack of funds; and what steps they will take to ensure that this organisation is enabled to continue its work.

Lord Trafford

The Government are aware of the work of Positively Women, and the Department of Health is currently considering an application from the organisation for a grant under Section 64 of the Health Services and Public Health Act 1968. I understand that Positively Women has received financial support from the National AIDS Trust and North West Thames Regional Health Authority.
