To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs to what extent there has been an increase in the United Kingdom's diplomatic activities in Bulgaria over the past year.

There has been no increase in United Kingdom activities in Bulgaria over the past year. We have consistently pressed the Bulgarian authorities to respect the rights of the ethnic Turkish minority and to fulfil all their CSCE commitments.
