§ Mr. Chris PattenThe United Kingdom continues to be a major supporter of Ghana's economic recovery programme. My right hon. Friend the Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, signed a grant agreement for a further £20 million balance of payments finance when she visited Ghana at the end of June. This brings to £92.5 million the total of our balance of payments support to Ghana since its economic recovery programme began in 1983.
