HL Deb 12 July 1989 vol 510 c406WA
Lord Kilmarnock

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have signed a licence granting the Gloucester Slips Car Park to the London Zoo; and if so on what terms and conditions.

Lord Hesketh

The terms of the licence will be finalised shortly. The Zoological Society of London are required to keep the coach and car park area in good order and not alter it in any way without the prior consent of the Department of the Environment. The coach and car park area remains part of Regent's Park and the Royal Parks and Gardens Regulations continue to apply here. The Zoological Society of London took over management of the coach and car park on 1st April, 1989.
