To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what has been the total expenditure by the Scottish Development Agency since its inception.

Mr. Lang

Taking account of provisional expenditure for 1988–89, the Scottish Development Agency had spent at the end of March a total of £1,304 million in the period since it was formed.

37. Mr. Foulkes

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland when he last met the chairman of the Scottish Development Agency; and what subjects were discussed.
