To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement on his recent discussions with industrialists about links between school and industry.

My Department is keen to encourage the development of links between school and industry in many ways. To this end, my colleagues and I have regular meetings with industrialists to discuss ways in which they can take advantage of the opportunities offered by recent legislation to become involved with schools.
