Dr. ThomasTo ask the Secretary of State for Energy (1) whether the British Nuclear Fuels plc Magnox reprocessing facility has been used for the concurrent processing of safeguardable and non-safeguarded Magnox spent fuel to yield fissile plutonium for the atomic weapons programme.
(2) what proportion of Magnox spent nuclear fuel from Hunterston was co-processed with spent fuel from the military reactors at Calder hall and Chapelcross prior to 31 December 1986.
