To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how much in percentage terms ratepayers pay for their fire service in each of the fire and civil defence authority areas outside London.

In 1987–88 the precept incomes of fire and civil defence authorities expressed as percentages of rates paid by all ratepayers in each metropolitan area are as follows:
