§ Mr. CopeA survey of employers in Greater London, carried out for the Employment Department by IFF Research Ltd. In June 1988, found that 45 per cent, of vacancies that had been filled during the preceding year had at some stage been notified to a jobcentre. At any one time, though, it is estimated that only 20 to 25 per cent, of available vacancies will have been notified to jobcentres.
