Dr. ThomasTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport if, during the meeting of European Community Transport Ministers on 13 February in Murcia, he will make it his policy to initiate a European Communitywide survey of the hazards of transporting toxic and radiotoxic materials within and out of Community member states.
§ Mr. Peter BottomleyNo such survey is needed. The transport of dangerous goods, including radioactive materials, is required to comply with international standards laid down by United Nations bodies. The regulations are kept under continuous review.
