§ Mr. MoynihanWe have no proposals to change the procedures for major planning inquiries. Environmental considerations will invariably be an important issue at such inquiries. In the case of planning applications made on or after 15 July 1988 for many projects likely to have significant environmental effects, developers are also required to provide an environmental statement of the implications to their proposals.
