To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) how many general managers at district health authorities are(a) men and (b) women;

(2) how many general managers at regional health authorities are (a) men and (b) women.

Of the 190 district health authorities in England, 180 are managed by men and 10 by women.

Of the 14 regional health authorities in England, 13 are managed by men and one by a woman.
