§ Mr. Michael ForsythInformation about the provision of residential places is given in annual statistical returns from local authorities. At 31 March 1988 the provisional number of residential places in local authority establishments was 167; the occupancy rate was 61 per cent. The local authorities' returns do not extend to planned provision.
