§ Mr. Wyn Roberts[holding answer 28 October 1988]: Figures for YTS trainees are not available on a constituency basis. The training agency in Wales provides statistics on an area office basis only which refer to the area in which training takes place, rather than that in which the trainee lives.
At the end of September 1988 the numbers in training in Wales were 25,791. In South and Mid Glamorgan 7,863, in Gwent 4,395, in West Glamorgan and Dyfed 6.928 and in Gwynedd, Clwyd and Powys 6,605.
