§ Mr. CartwrightTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he is taking to monitor the performance of the London borough of Greenwich on right-to-buy sales and to reduce the current delays in providing valuations to intending purchasers.
§ Mr. TrippierMy right hon. Friend has recently reviewed the right-to-buy performance of all London boroughs. He considers that while there is room for improvement by Greenwich, the borough's performance does not warrant the imposition of formal monitoring; and that the measures included in the Housing Bill will be sufficient to reduce the current delays. My Department will continue to take up individual complaints with the council.
