HC Deb 31 October 1988 vol 139 c530W
Mr. Cartwright

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he is taking to monitor the performance of the London borough of Greenwich on right-to-buy sales and to reduce the current delays in providing valuations to intending purchasers.

Mr. Trippier

My right hon. Friend has recently reviewed the right-to-buy performance of all London boroughs. He considers that while there is room for improvement by Greenwich, the borough's performance does not warrant the imposition of formal monitoring; and that the measures included in the Housing Bill will be sufficient to reduce the current delays. My Department will continue to take up individual complaints with the council.
