§ The Prime MinisterThe United Kingdom (in common with most Western countries) voted against the United Nations General Assembly resolution 3379 in the General Assembly in November 1975. Since then we have consistently opposed the resolution but there is no specific provision for repealing United Nations resolutions, and in our judgment there is therefore little prospect of obtaining an effective counter resolution.
