To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the implementation of the Rimnet radiation monitoring programme.

Forty-six monitoring stations became operational in June and are now feeding data to London. The next phase of the development of Rimnet will double the number of monitoring stations and progressively introduce fully automated facilities.
