To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is his latest forecast for the public sector debt repayment for 1988–89.

As my hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer has indicated, the PSDR will be considerably larger than projected at Budget time. A new forecast will be given in the autumn statement next month.
