To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, at the next meeting with Finance Ministers from other Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development countries, he will make it his policy to proffer advice to his colleagues on the management of their economies.

Mr. Brooke

My right hon. Friend the Chancellor meets his opposite numbers in other OECD countries at the annual meeting of the ministerial council, to exchange views on a range of economic issues. The next meeting will be in the summer of 1989.
