§ Mr. ButcherLinks between business and schools provide a valuable means of introducing children to the realities of industry, both its responsibilities and its308W opportunities. At present, two out of three children, before they leave school, receive direct experience of industry through a work experience placement. My Department is working with the DTI and Training Commision to ensure that all children benefit from this experience.
