§ Mr. ColvinTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport whether consultants have been appointed to consider alternative routes for a bypass on the A36 at West Wellow; when the study is likely to take place; when the study will be completed; and when he expects to publish his recommendations for the proposed route.
§ Mr. Peter BottomleyWe hope to appoint consultants early next year to prepare for public consultation in late 1990. The announcement of a preferred route will depend on the outcome. It could be made in 1991.
