§ Mr. RifkindSome of the proposals published in my discussion paper, "The Practice of the Solicitor Profession in Scotland," have already been given effect in the Solicitors (Scotland) Act 1988. I am considering responses to the other proposals and I also intend to seek views early in 1989 on further proposals on the future work and organisation of the legal profession in Scotland.
