To ask the Secretary of State for Defence why the allocation of funds for nuclear strategic forces, as listed in table 2.3 in the Analysis of the Defence Budget on page 10 of volume 2 of the Statement on the Defence Estimates has risen from the 1982–83 figure of £327 million to the 1988–89 figure of £1,072 million.
