§ Mr. Douglas HoggOn 21 October, HMP Blundeston was staffed to complement in grade VI officers. There is a general shortage of grade VII officers, but one is shortly to be posted to the prison. More officers will become available for posting in spring 1989, after the next promotion board. Meanwhile, in common with all establishments, Blundeston is working to ensure that the best use is made of its staff resources under Fresh Start.
